Jones Beach is one of the largest, cleanest beaches in the world. Along the six and a half miles of its fine sandy shores, Jones Beach features the famous two-mile long boardwalk, which can be enjoyed throughout the year. Just throw on some comfortable clothes and a pair of sneakers, strap your baby in the stroller or Baby Bjorn and enjoy a refreshing, seaside workout. During summer months, come back and explore the concession shops, miniature golf, tennis courts, shuffle board, playgrounds, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a boating area. Also, take the kids for a day trip on the Orient Point Ferry. You'll enjoy the beautiful country drive out to Orient and the 1:45 hours one-way trip. The ferries are heated/air conditioned and have many windows for viewing the ocean. They also have the high-speed passenger ferry which is a sight to see!
