If you enjoy taking your family to museums, you know how those admission fees can add up. For the first time ever, Nassau County is offering a Family Holiday Passport. The Passport, which costs $25, gives a family of five unlimited admission to all Nassau County-operated museums through the end of the year. Participating museums are: The African-American Museum (Hempstead), Cedarmere (Roslyn Harbor), Chelsea Mansion (Muttontown Preserve, East Norwich), Garvies Point Museum (Glen Cove), Old Bethpage Village Restoration, and Tackapausha Museum & Preserve (Seaford). Take your adult guests on a tour of Long Island's North Fork Wineries. Art aficionados will enjoy a trip to the Nassau County Museum of Art where they can enjoy the new Picasso and the School of Paris exhibit. They might also want to pay a visit to the Long Island Museum of American Art, History, and Carriages where they can see a display of Charles Henry Miller's painting. Miller captured Long Island's beauty during the 1870s. |
